Apprentice Ceremony

Hawkstar sat at the base of a large, smooth stone. He watched the quiet camp for a moment and the let out a yowl. He knew not many would come for the camp's number had decreased drastically after the war and bareleaf had also taken its toll. He waited for Snowkit and of course Frostflower.

Snowkit ran as fast as she could with a wound she got there and said timidly " Yes leader" she was trying to make a good impression and she hoped it worked she didn't want to be punished for being formal she sighed and sat down waiting for a reply from the leader.

Shadow wandered around. This was his assighned terrain, but would it work out? He didn't know but the sound of a male lead him towards two other. His attention was on the male and he lowered his head. I presume your the leader here? Sorry if i'm inturupting something. He stated as he looked to the female and then back to the male.

Ebon and ivory she cat made her way towards the group. She had just been checking her stock. Without speaking she walked towards Snowkit and checked the wound before sitting down. She knew what this was about. Tail folded neatly over her paws and she looked towards HawkStar. FrostFlower then turned her gaze to the newcomer, whoever he was. But his pelt was black, like a shadow. She sighed lightly. Nothing much to do lately. The richness of New Leaf made hunting and finding herbs easy which left her with alot of spare time. Ah well the newcomer seemed nice enough and Snowkit sounded enthusiastic. Becoming Medicine Cat she had promised many things. Keep from fighting, no kits, ect. So many things to stay away from. Some seemed rather harsh but that's how it was and the rules weren't going to change for anyone. She wondered how things would go. After the war so many died. The Clan really needed a pick me up and the rest of the clans were silent. To silent for her own liking. What was going on? She just didn't know. At least DawnClan's numbers were increasing, that was good. But she missed the old ways. Patrols coming in and some going out. Mentors taking apprentices for training. Everything else too.

Hawkstar dipped his head to the newcomer and said"Aye I am I will be with you in a moment. Snowkit from this day forward you will be known as Snowpaw. I will be your mentor and promise to teach you all I know." he padded towards his new apprentice and touched noses with her then said"Congrats Snowpaw!" He smiled warmly at her then walked towards the ebon tom"Hello I am Hawkstar what be your name?"

Snowpaw nodded and said " Thank you mentor i will try and be a good apprentice" She then said to the new comer " Hi my name is snowpaw and i hope you get welcomed here" She then lay down to sleep knowing that now she would only have to keep her part and help with other things and she was good.

Silverstream slid into the lands. Silver pelt glowed in the sun. She had missed it, very bad. But Snowpaw? A new apprentice would be good. She sat down beside FrostFlower they had been long time friends. She nudged her friends shoulder gently. She herself had been a warrior for only a season. She allowed her gaze to travel to Hawkstar. She hadnt spent much time with him even as kits. FrostFlower knew just about everyone in the clan. Looking back to her longtime friend she finally spoke Havent seen you lately she said quietly. Which was true. Silverstream herself had spent alot time hunting. She herself didnt have an apprentice so she had alot of spare time to hunt. Just goes to show how much you could miss everything.
